Kompong Khleang

This unique village gets very few tourist. Its located on the northern lake end some 40km from siem reap, its a large remote village, with its main industry focused on  fishing. We start the tour with a experianced guide picking you up from your hotel. Using air conditioned car or minivan we proceed up route #6 to kompong khleang, passing markets and villages we proceed over and along the causeway to the edge of the great tonle sap lake, we transfer to our special river craft and enjoy a relaxing, fasinating journey up the khleang river to the flooded forrest. Once at the floating village we proceed to the floating school to hand out school supplies,and meet the teachers and school children,the stationary is the tara riverboats way of supporting the local village school. This tour is unique as few tourist explore this floating village, the  bird life is awesome we have lunch at a local restaurant [included in price.... plenty to see and do and its a great chance to have a break from the temples and enjoy the cool water breezes from the great tonle sap lake This is a great photo opporturity the amazing sites of the homes on stilts, some 10 mts high, the flooded forrest and the floating village makes this a must do tour for people that want a relaxing non temple outing.
