Captain’s Log – Week 4

Week four brought a noticeable lift in activity across both river and land operations. Conditions remained mostly favorable, allowing us to maintain schedules while continuing to fine-tune onboard routines and guest flow.

A highlight this week was a sunset cruise with overseas students, creating a lively atmosphere onboard and offering a meaningful cultural experience for our international guests. Their enthusiasm added great energy to the evening and reinforced the growing appeal of our sunset cruises.

We also saw increasing interest in the Phnom Penh to Siem Reap cruise both ways, gaining momentum as road traffic continues to build. With highways becoming busier, more travelers are choosing river travel and guided tours as a comfortable and scenic alternative.

One of the week’s standout events was hosting a special birthday celebration for 150 guests aboard the Queen Tara Riverboat. The crew handled the large group smoothly, delivering a memorable experience with coordinated service, strong teamwork, and positive guest feedback.

Crew performance continues to strengthen, with clear communication and growing confidence across all roles. Routine equipment checks were completed, and all systems remain in good working order.

Morale remains high. As demand increases, the focus will stay on maintaining safety standards, consistent service quality, and smooth operations while adapting to rising guest numbers and evolving travel patterns.
