Captain’s Log – Week 5
Tara Riverboat Tours
Week 5 has been one of those weeks that reminds us why we do what we do.
With the river flowing steadily and the season gathering momentum, Tara Riverboat Tours has been buzzing with activity—from welcoming new crew members to hosting more guests than ever on our signature cruises, and even preparing for a milestone journey beyond Cambodia’s borders.
Growing the Crew
As demand continues to rise, we’ve officially welcomed two new staff members to the Tara family. They’ve joined our Phnom Penh to Siem Reap cruise, helping us maintain the relaxed, attentive service we’re known for while ensuring everything runs smoothly on board. It’s always a good sign when growth on the river means more local jobs and stronger teams.
Full Decks & Friendly Faces
This week also saw a wonderful increase in guests aboard our Siem Reap to Phnom Penh cruises, as well as our ever-popular sunset river tours. From first-time visitors to returning travellers, it’s been a pleasure sharing slow river days, golden sunsets, and life along the banks with so many people. The conversations, laughter, and quiet moments on deck are what make these journeys special—for guests and crew alike.
A Historic First: Vietnam Bound
One of the biggest moments this week? One of our boats is heading to Vietnam for the very first time. It’s a proud milestone for Tara Riverboat Tours and an exciting new chapter in our story. As she prepares to depart, there’s a real sense of anticipation on the dock—and we’ll be there to wave her off, cameras ready and flags flying.
Looking Ahead
Week 5 has been about growth, connection, and forward motion. With new crew on board, fuller boats, and new horizons ahead, we’re excited for what the coming weeks on the river will bring.
As always, the river leads the way—and we’re grateful to everyone who joins us on the journey.
