Captain’s Log – Week 6, 2026
What a fantastic week on the water here in Siem Reap and beyond!
🎉 Birthday Celebrations on the Queen Tara Riverboat
We were delighted to host a wonderful birthday party aboard the beautiful Queen Tara Riverboat. Laughter echoed across the lake, cake was shared under blue skies, and guests relaxed in hammocks as we cruised gently along. A truly memorable day celebrating life on the water.
🚢 German Health & Safety Group Cruise
A special welcome to our professional Health and Safety group from Germany who travelled in style aboard the Mekong Tara Prince. Their journey from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap was smooth and scenic, with plenty of insight shared both onboard and along the mighty Mekong River. Professional, punctual, and a pleasure to host!
🌊 Kompong Khleang Adventures
Our trips to Kompong Khleang continue to inspire visitors. The towering stilt houses and authentic floating community life offer a powerful glimpse into the rhythm of the lake.
🦅 Bird Sanctuary & Protected Area Cruises
We’ve also enjoyed numerous peaceful cruises into the protected bird sanctuaries around Tonlé Sap Lake. Gliding quietly through flooded forests and conservation zones, guests were treated to incredible birdlife and untouched natural beauty. These protected areas remain one of the true treasures of the region.
Week 6 has been filled with celebrations, cultural connections, wildlife encounters, and safe passages across Cambodia’s great waterways.
Until next week — steady waters and safe journeys! ⚓
