Itinerary

Escape the city, tour the Tonle Sap and Mekong Rivers and watch the sunset over Phnom Penh whilst relaxing on the Mekong Tara Prince or tara boat. We cruise by the Royal Palace before turning into the Mekong River towards Silk Island, passing the floating villages all from the comfort of the top decks enjoying the included BBQ and drinks.

Come and join us as we escape the hustle and bustle of the city of Phnom Penh and cruise up the Tonle sap river and join the mighty Mekong River to watch the sunset over Phnom Penh. whilst relaxing on the special Mekong Tara Prince. Itinerary

Free Pick up and return from Hotel/Guesthouse is provided, pick up times will be confirmed to ensure the boat can leave promptly for 5pm or larger groups can arrive at the dock area where they will be met by the guide and escorted onto the boat.

Step aboard the Mekong Tara Prince as we set off down the Tonle Sap River taking in the sights of the city from a different perspective, enjoying the breeze away from the noise and heat of Phnom Penh. We sail down past the Royal Palace and the banks of Phnom Penh riverside, watching the sunset over the city, as we join the mighty Mekong at the junction of 3 major rivers, the other two being the Tonle Sap River and the Bassac River. There we pass some of the floating villages, passing fishing boats, farms and seeing another side of Cambodia that seems far removed from life in Phnom Penh. We then slowly cruise back seeing the city transform as it lights up in neon ready for the nightlife to swing into action. All this is from the comfort of the top decks of the boat enjoying the included BBQ and welcome drink.

7:00pm: the boat docks back at the riverside. and our guides will transport you back to your hotels

All food is MSG free, cooked on the BBQ grill and where oil is used, we use only vegetable oil. BBQ consists of Pork spareribs, Chicken Wings, Rice (Vegetarian options available) and Fruits. we have also beers, soft drinks and water available

Kompong Khleang Not Just a Tour — A Glimpse Into Floating Life.

Take a break from visiting temples and experience the amazing floating fishing villages and Stilted villages homes of Kompong Khleang on a day tour from Siem Reap. Enjoy the scenery on the boat ride (traditional long tail type) and meet the children and teachers at the local floating school. Our guide for this tour is actually from this same village, so can give you a great insight as to how the village operates. This village receives very few visitors as its 50km from Siem Reap, but certainly worth the extra effort, the trip out to the village is also interesting as we visit the local brick making kilns, a few stops on route also to explore the countryside, rice fields and taste of the sticky rice. Don’t miss this opportunity to visit the unique and remote floating fishing village of Kompong Khleang, as Kompong Phluk, Kompong Khleang is mainly made up of stilted homes raising some 10 meters high, however does also have a small floating village, but not a large one like the floating villages of Chong khneas, its located on the Northeast of the Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and the richest fishing lake in the World. The Tonle Sap is a unique ecological hotspot. Kompong Khleang is situated around 50km from Siem Reap. (Please note Kompong Khleang does not have a flooded forest as does Kompong Phluk, but it is a much larger village.
